The government job age calculator checks your exact age as on the notification cut-off date against the age limit for the post you're targeting — SSC, Railway (RRB), banking or State PSC — and applies your category's upper-age relaxation automatically. Cut-off dates are commonly 1 January or 1 August; set yours with the presets or a custom date.

Every recruitment has a minimum and a maximum age. You must have reached the minimum and not exceeded the maximum (base limit plus relaxation) on the cut-off date, measured to the exact day. Standard relaxations are +3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), +5 for SC/ST and +10/+13/+15 for PwBD candidates.

Why the exact day matters

What does “age as on” mean for government jobs?
Your age is measured on a fixed cut-off date set in the notification — often 1 January or 1 August — regardless of when you fill in the application form.
What are the standard age relaxations?
